VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Electric SUVs Now Open for Pre Booking in India
VinFast begins pre bookings in India for VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs at Rs 21000 refundable price with plans for 35 dealerships and local EV production.
VinFast has started accepting pre-bookings from today for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India. These vehicles can be pre-booked by customers for Rs. 21,000, which will be refunded. These vehicles can be pre-booked at VinFast dealerships or on its website. VinFast arrived in the Indian market fast with the alliance of 13 dealer groups. These alliances create 32 sales points in 27 cities. The firm will increase three additional dealerships by the end of the year, making the total 35 outlets.
Reaching Out and Local Manufacturing
VinFast's expansion is in key cities and states where electric vehicles are becoming more popular. The VF 6 and VF 7 first debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. VinFast later displayed them in 11 cities nationwide. VinFast also opened a factory in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The factory is a major step in its India strategy, demonstrating its seriousness to produce locally.
VinFast VF 7: Power and Range Levels
VinFast VF 7 will receive two power levels to it. The front-wheel-drive model can come at a price of Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). The dual-motor all-wheel-drive model can be slightly pricier at a level around Rs 29 lakh. VinFast has also been testing the VF 6 and VF 7 on public roads ahead of their launch later in the festive season. The bigger VF 7 has a sloping roofline, a sleek LED tail light bar, concealed door handles, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Its size measures 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,636 mm in height.
VinFast VF 6: Battery and Performance Information
The VF 6 is expected to pack a 59.6 kWh battery pack. It will be driven by a single electric motor, which generates 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. VinFast states the VF 6 can go from zero to 100 kmph in 8.89 seconds. Its certified WLTP range is up to 480 km on a full charge.
VF 7 Battery and Variants
VinFast VF 7 comes with a 75.3 kWh battery pack. It gives 201 hp and 309 Nm torque in standard guise. Based on WLTP certification, it offers a range of 451 km in full charge. More potent Plus variant is available as well. This offers 348 hp and 499 Nm of torque, though its certified range is slightly lower at 431 km.
Analysis
VinFast's pre-launch announcement of the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs are its aggressive forays into Indian electric vehicle business. Setting up a domestic production facility and extensive dealership network is VinFast's pledge to Indian customers. The aggressive price and widespread powertrain availability of both the vehicles will try to strike resonance with a wide customer base.
