Ather Rizta S: New 3.7 kWh Battery, 159 km Range, Rs 1.37 Lakh

Ather Rizta S variant debuts with 3.7 kWh battery, 159 km IDC range, and advanced connected features at ₹1.37 lakh.

Ather Energy has expanded its Rizta electric scooter lineup with a new variant that boasts a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack. This addition provides an impressive IDC-rated range of 159 kilometers, giving riders more confidence on longer journeys. The Rizta family now includes four distinct variants, offering more choices to potential buyers.

This latest model is priced at Rs. 1,37,047 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Ather has already opened bookings for this new variant, and customers can expect deliveries to begin later this month. This move aims to make electric mobility more accessible and convenient for a wider audience.

The Ather Rizta S maintains the practical design and utility features that have made the Rizta popular. It still offers a spacious 34-liter under seat storage compartment, perfect for daily essentials. For those needing even more space, an optional 22-liter front-mounted storage unit is available. The scooter also keeps its long and wide seat, which remains one of the most comfortable in its segment, ensuring a pleasant ride for both the driver and a passenger.

One of the key advantages of the Rizta is its flat floorboard layout, which adds to its practicality and ease of use. In terms of technology, the Ather Rizta S 3.7 kWh comes fully loaded with a suite of connected features. These include a seven-inch display, turn-by-turn navigation, AutoHold for inclines, Fall Safe for accident detection, Emergency Stop Signal for safety, and even Alexa integration for smart connectivity. Features like Find My Scooter and theft alerts provide added peace of mind for owners.

The scooter also supports over-the-air updates, meaning its software can be improved and new features can be added remotely. It is also compatible with Ather’s extensive fast-charging network, which now includes over 3,900 public charging points across India. This widespread infrastructure makes charging convenient and reduces range anxiety for riders.

Despite challenges in the electric vehicle supply chain, particularly concerning magnet shortages, Ather reports that the Rizta continues to see strong and steady demand. The Rizta model now accounts for over 60 percent of Ather’s total sales, highlighting its success and popularity in the market. Earlier in 2025, the Ather series crossed a significant milestone, selling over one lakh units less than a year after its initial launch.

To further assure customers, the Ather Rizta S 3.7 kWh variant comes with the company’s Eight70 extended battery program. This program provides a battery warranty covering 8 years or 80,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. It also guarantees a minimum of 70 percent battery health throughout the warranty period, showcasing Ather’s confidence in its battery technology.

City-wise pricing for the Rizta S 3.7 kWh shows slight variations: it is listed at Rs. 1,37,258 in Mumbai, Rs. 1,37,999 in Bangalore, and Rs. 1,39,312 in Chennai. This new variant is positioned as a longer-range option, slotting in below the top-tier trims, making it an attractive choice for those seeking extended travel capabilities without opting for the most expensive models.
