Honda Activa e: Now Gets New Lite BaaS Subscription Plan at Rs 678
Honda Activa e launches a ₹678/month 'Lite' battery BaaS plan - Offering 600 km of monthly travel - ideal for daily urban riders.
Honda 2-Wheelers India has recently introduced a new, more affordable battery subscription plan for its Activa e: electric scooter. This fresh offering, known as the ‘Lite’ BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan, costs just Rs 678 each month. It will allow users to travel up to 600 kilometers monthly, which typically translates to about 20 kilometers per day.
The Honda Activa e: had first arrived in January 2025, carrying a starting price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Initially, it was only available in three major cities: Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. Because the scooter uses two detachable battery packs and does not have a home charging option, Honda had already offered two other BaaS subscription models. The new ‘Lite’ plan was designed to be the most budget-friendly choice for electric scooters in the Indian market.
This ‘Lite’ plan could prove especially useful for customers who do not travel long distances every day. With this new arrangement, riders will easily be able to swap their batteries at Honda’s designated battery swapping stations. This system offers considerable convenience and flexibility.
Before the ‘Lite’ plan was launched, the Activa e: had two other BaaS programs: the Basic and the Advance. The Basic plan had cost Rs 1,999 per month for a daily travel limit of 35 kilometers. The Advance plan was priced at Rs 2,600 per month, which had allowed for 87 kilometers of travel per day. While those earlier plans might have been suitable for fleet operators, they were often quite expensive for individual users who had lower daily travel needs.
Performance and Key Features of the Honda Activa e:
The Honda Activa e: is powered by two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries. These batteries can provide a range of 102 kilometers on a full charge. Honda Mobile Power Pack e: is the name given to these battery packs, which Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Japan had developed. In India, Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd (HEID) manages these batteries. The batteries are connected to an in-house developed permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, which delivers a peak power of 8 bhp.
The Activa e: can accelerate from a standstill to 60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 kmph. It comes equipped with several notable features. These include a 7-inch TFT display and Honda RoadSync Duo App connectivity. Buyers will also receive a 3-year or 50,000 km standard warranty, along with three free periodic maintenance services and complimentary roadside assistance (RSA).
The electric scooter is available in five distinct color schemes: Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue. Bookings for the e-scooter are currently open in select cities across the country, requiring only a token payment of Rs 1,000.
