Tata Harrier EV Got 5-Star in Bharat NCAP Crash Tests, new EV platform, up to 505 km range, and advanced features. AWD prices out June 27.

The new Tata Harrier EV just got a five-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP crash tests, which is pretty impressive. It did really well at keeping its passengers safe in crashes, even outperforming the diesel version in these tests.

For child safety, the Harrier EV scored a perfect 24 out of 24. In terms of adult occupant protection, it racked up 45 out of 49 points, and it even got a full score of 32 for adult protection, which is better than the 30.08 points scored by the internal combustion engine model.

The SUV went through tough testing, involving both frontal and side crash tests, and in both, it scored 16 points. This shows that the car is well-designed and puts safety first.

The crash reports show that both the driver and front passenger's safety ratings were consistently 'good' in various impact tests, including frontal crashes, side collisions, and even tough side pole tests. The strong vehicle build and effective safety features helped it score higher for adult occupants compared to the fuel version.

Now, about the pricing and launch of the Tata Harrier EV. Tata Motors has disclosed the starting prices for the rear wheel drive (RWD) versions, which range from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 27.49 lakh (ex-showroom). They plan to announce the prices for the more powerful twin-motor all-wheel-drive models on June 27. You can start booking the Harrier EV at dealerships and online from July 2, 2025.

This five-seater electric SUV is on the updated Acti.ev+ platform and offers two battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh, which provide a driving range of up to 505 kilometers on a single charge. Plus, it comes with new features for its class, like a nice QLED touchscreen.

Safety is key for the Harrier EV. It includes a bunch of safety features as standard, like 6 airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and disc brakes on all wheels. The base model also has an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with a suite that comes with various safety tools.
