2025 Nissan Magnite CNG Launched: CNG Retrofit Kit Offered at ₹74,999

2025 Nissan Magnite CNG Launched in India - Priced from ₹6.89 Lakh

The Nissan Magnite CNG retrofit kit costs ₹74,999 and can be fitted at certified installation centers authorized by the respective authorities.

Nissan Motor India is now offering a new option to Magnite owners. This has been made possible through a central government-approved CNG retrofit kit. The kit is priced at ₹74,999 and can be fitted only at Nissan authorized dealers.

The kit is manufactured by a company called Motogen. Although it is a third-party, the kit is backed by quality and a warranty of three years or 1 lakh km. Initially, the kit will be available only in the states of Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala and Karnataka. Nissan said that it will be made available in more states in the future.

This retrofit kit is available only for the Magnite variant with a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is not applicable to the turbo engine or automatic variants.

Switching to CNG will help reduce the vehicle's fuel cost. There will be no change in the vehicle's appearance, interior design or features. The Magnite is already sold in over 65 countries and is available in both left-hand and right-hand drive formats. It comes with over 55 safety features.

The CNG variant is priced between ₹6.89 lakh and ₹10.02 lakh (ex-showroom) - it is available in six trims. It will compete with the likes of the Tata Punch CNG and Hyundai Xterra CNG.

The company said that similar CNG kits are also coming to the Renault Kwid, Kiger and Triber vehicles in February 2025.

Speaking about the new launch, Nissan Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said, "The Magnite is our successful SUV. Now, with this new option, we are looking to provide more value to our customers with the CNG kit."
