Toyota Sales Rise 5% in June 2025, Grows 16% in First Half of Year

Toyota sales rise 5% in June and 16% in Jan–June 2025. New hybrids and exports helped boost growth.

Strong Sales in June 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 28,869 vehicles in June 2025, which is 5% more than the same time last year. Out of these, 26,453 vehicles were sold in India, and 2,416 were exported to other countries. This shows that people are still very interested in Toyota’s cars.

Great Sales in First Half of 2025

From January to June 2025, Toyota sold 174,885 vehicles in total. That’s a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This means more people are buying Toyota cars, and the company is doing well in the market.

New and Improved Cars

In June, Toyota launched new versions of the Fortuner and Legender SUVs with mild-hybrid engines. These are more fuel-efficient and better for the environment. People liked the new versions, and sales were strong.

Toyota also makes popular models like the Innova Crysta, Innova HyCross, and Legender at its big factory in Bidadi, Karnataka.

Toyota works closely with Maruti Suzuki and sells cars that are based on Maruti models, like:

  • Glanza (based on the Baleno)

  • Urban Cruiser Taisor (based on the Fronx)

  • Rumion (based on the Ertiga)

These shared models help Toyota sell more cars.

Toyota’s Factories and Top Models

Toyota has a second factory in Bidadi where it builds cars like the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is one of the top-selling cars in India and is available in CNG, mild hybrid, and strong hybrid versions.

Future Plans: Electric Cars and Green Energy

Toyota is getting ready to launch its first electric SUV in India, called the Urban Cruiser BEV.

It’s expected to arrive before the end of 2025. The car will have two battery options and can go over 500 km on a full charge. This new model is built in partnership with Maruti Suzuki, and it is similar to the e-Vitara.

Toyota also signed an agreement with a company called Ohmium International to explore green hydrogen energy. They plan to test this technology for use in data centers, remote areas, and eco-sensitive places. This shows Toyota’s interest in clean energy and protecting the environment.

In Summary

  • Toyota is doing very well in India.

  • Sales are growing, both in India and outside.

  • New hybrid and electric cars are on the way.

  • Partnerships with Maruti Suzuki are helping Toyota grow faster.

  • Toyota is also working on clean energy like green hydrogen.

All these things show that Toyota is ready for the future and wants to be a leader in both car sales and sustainability.
