Tata Offers Discounts Up To Rs 1 Lakh On Its EVs In July 2025
Tata Motors announces EV discounts up to Rs 1 lakh in July 2025. Explore offers on Harrier EV, Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and Punch EV models
Tata Motors has rolled out a fresh set of benefits for its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in India for July 2025. These offers aim to attract new buyers with direct savings, loyalty bonuses, and even temporary charging support for some customers. The specific discounts will vary depending on the model and location, as well as availability.
For the recently launched Tata Harrier EV, there is no direct cash discount or exchange scheme. Instead, current owners of Tata EVs who are looking to upgrade will receive a special loyalty bonus of Rs. 1 lakh. This benefit is exclusively for those who are moving up within Tata’s electric vehicle range.
The Harrier EV, a five-seater midsize electric SUV, comes with battery options of 65 kWh and 75 kWh. It offers a real-world range of up to 505 kilometers on a single charge. This model also features several segment-first technologies and emphasizes off-roading capabilities with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration.
The Tata Curvv EV is also part of these July offers, with a combined benefit of up to Rs. 50,000 through exchange and loyalty programs. Additionally, buyers of the Nexon EV will receive a Rs. 30,000 exchange bonus along with loyalty benefits. The compact electric SUV also includes six months of complimentary fast charging access via Tata Power, capped at 1,000 units.
In the entry-level EV segment, both the Tata Tiago EV Long Range (LR) and the Tata Punch EV are available with a flat cash benefit of Rs. 20,000, coupled with an equal exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000. Unlike some of the other models, these two do not come with public charging offers. Tata is currently working on an updated version of the Punch EV, and the all-new Sierra range is also under development.
The Sierra is expected to make its comeback with an electric variant first, before the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. The ICE model will be powered by a new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine.
Analysis
Tata Motors' July 2025 EV discount strategy reflects a clear intent to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in India. By offering varied benefits, including substantial loyalty bonuses for existing customers and charging support for new buyers, Tata aims to cater to different segments of the market. The focus on the Harrier EV and Curvv EV, alongside continued incentives for the popular Nexon EV, indicates a push for higher-end electric models while maintaining accessibility in the entry-level segment. This multi-pronged approach, combined with upcoming model developments like the Sierra EV, positions Tata Motors as a leader in India's evolving electric mobility landscape, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
