2025 Hyundai Aura S AMT Launched In India At Rs 8.07 Lakh
2025 Hyundai Aura S AMT brings six airbags AMT gearbox and more safety for Rs 8.07 lakh
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced a new S AMT variant for its Aura sedan. This brings an automatic manual transmission (AMT) option to more buyers. The new mid-level variant costs Rs 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom). It fits between the manual and higher-end versions. It also includes more features.
Engine and Performance
The Hyundai Aura uses a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine. This engine makes 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. It connects to either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The CNG version only comes with a five-speed manual gearbox. It produces 69 PS of power and 95.2 Nm of torque.
New Features for the Aura S AMT
The Aura S AMT now includes several new features. These are:
- Six airbags for better safety
- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- Hill-start assist control (HAC)
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (highline)
- LED daytime running lamps
- Electrically foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with turn indicators
Hyundai decided to offer AMT technology at this level because more buyers want automatic cars in the compact sedan segment. Also, many buyers now prefer CNG models in this area.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor India Limited, spoke about the new variant. He said, “At HMIL, we want to make smart mobility available to more customers. Adding the advanced AMT transmission to the Hyundai Aura S AMT shows our ongoing efforts to make technology common and easier for customers. With this, we aim to offer great comfort, safety, performance, and convenience at a good price in the entry-level segment.”
Price Comparison
The Hyundai Aura S AMT costs about Rs 70,000 more than the S MT version. It is also cheaper than the automatic base models of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze.
Analysis
Hyundai’s launch of the 2025 Aura S AMT shows the company’s focus on meeting customer needs. By adding more safety features like six airbags and advanced driving aids, Hyundai makes the Aura more appealing. The introduction of AMT in a mid-spec variant also makes automatic cars more accessible. This is important as more people choose automatic options. This move helps Hyundai stay competitive in the compact sedan market. It also strengthens the Aura’s position as a value-for-money car that offers both convenience and safety.
