Honda sells 4.65 lakh two-wheelers in May 2025, launches new premium bikes like Rebel 500, CB750 Hornet, and Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition
Honda 2-Wheelers India said it sold a total of 4,65,115 bikes in May 2025. Out of this, 4,17,256 vehicles were sold domestically, while 47,859 vehicles were exported abroad.
Honda sold a total of 9,45,979 vehicles in the first two months of the financial year 2025 (April & May). Out of this, 8,40,155 vehicles were sold in India, while 1,05,824 vehicles were sent to other countries.
With these numbers, Honda is second only to Hero MotoCorp among the best-selling brands in India.
Premium Bikes Launch
Honda is selling its premium bikes through BigWing dealerships. These bikes were launched domestically in May 2025:
- Rebel 500
- X-ADV
- CB750 Hornet
- CB1000 Hornet SP
- Gold Wing Tour – 50th Anniversary Edition
Also, the CB650R and CBR650R E-Clutch bikes were launched in the market in May.
500 Million Vehicle Milestone
Honda has reached a great milestone by manufacturing 500 million two-wheelers since its inception in 1949. It has also increased its manufacturing capacity by starting a new production line at its Vithalpur plant in the state of Gujarat, India.
CD 110 Dream Bike Discontinued
Honda removed the CD 110 Dream bike from the market after 11 years, in March 2025. It was discontinued due to declining sales. However, the Shine 100 bike is still available.
Road Safety Awareness Programmes
Honda has undertaken road safety awareness programmes in 13 locations across the country. These locations are:
- Maharashtra: Jalgaon, Kolhapur
- Jharkhand: Hazaribagh
- Uttar Pradesh: Ghaziabad, Kanpur
- Rajasthan: Kotputli
- Haryana: Faridabad
- Gujarat: Vadodara
- Tamil Nadu: Thanjavur, Chengalpattu
- Punjab: Patiala
- Bihar: Bhagalpur
- Andhra Pradesh: Kadapa
Road Safety Training in Hyderabad
In collaboration with the Hyderabad Traffic Police, Honda organised a summer camp at the Traffic Training Park. Through this training camp, awareness on road safety was created among children and youth.
Motorsports Victory
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johan Zarco won the Grand Prix of France. It was his 150th MotoGP race and his first victory on home soil. The Honda RC213V returned to the podium. The victory brought Honda back to glory.
