TVS Introduces Enhanced Jupiter 125 Variant with Dual-Tone Styling and Smart Features

TVS Motor Company has launched a new version of its popular 125cc scooter Jupiter. The new model is called the 2025 TVS Jupiter Dual Tone SXC and it comes with stylish dual-tone colours, a redesigned seat and new smart features. However, the engine and major mechanical components remain the same as the standard Jupiter 125.

New look and smart features:

The scooter is available in two new colour options - Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey. It gets diamond-cut alloy wheels and a bright LED headlamp for a fresh and modern look. A major update is the new SmartXonnect feature on the LCD display. It allows the rider to see alerts for incoming calls and messages on the screen. It also shows useful information like fuel range, real-time mileage, trip details and low fuel alerts.

The scooter also has Bluetooth support, which allows for turn-by-turn navigation. These features make it more competitive compared to other scooters in the 125cc segment. The engine remains the same as before - a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 hp at 6,500 rpm and 11.1 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm.

More comfort and storage:

The new Jupiter comes with i-GO Assist, which helps in smooth acceleration in traffic and stop-go situations. It also has a large 33-litre under-seat storage area that can hold two full-face helmets. For added comfort, the pillion seat has a cushioned backrest.

Other useful features include a front fuel filler cap, so you don't have to open the seat to fill up, and a small glove box on the front apron to store small items. The scooter also features robust tyres with additional side protection to improve safety and durability.

Price and Competition:

The TVS Jupiter Dual Tone SmartXonect variant is now available in showrooms. It is priced at Rs. 88,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it Rs. 8,000 more than the standard drum/alloy variant and Rs. 3,000 cheaper than the top-end SmartXonect model.

In terms of suspension, it uses telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter weighs 108 kg and has a ground clearance of 163 mm. The new variant will compete with other popular 125cc scooters like the Honda Activa 125, Hero Destiny 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Yamaha Fascino.
