Kia Clavis Electric Set to Launch Before Diwali 2025
Kia has launched its new Carens Clavis in the Indian market as an MPV with a more premium look and modern features. The company recently confirmed that it will be bringing several new cars — EVs, hybrid models, and ICE-powered vehicles to India. The brand is building its first mass-market EV based on the new Carens Clavis, which has already been spotted on Indian roads several times.
Kia Carens Clavis EV – Launch Details
Kia is yet to officially announce the release date of the Clavis EV. However, industry sources are predicting that this electric MPV could be launched in the market around June or July 2025. Car enthusiasts can stay tuned for further updates.
Electric Clavis – Design Details
As far as possible, the new EV model i.e., the Carens Clavis EV will have almost the same design as its ICE version. However, it will differ with some unique EV design elements. The front-end design is inspired by the Kia EV9 and EV3 vehicles. The bulky grille will be replaced by a clean front, new LED headlamps, DRLs, and a charging port mounted on the front fender.
At the rear, the taillights will be joined by a light bar, and the rear bumper is likely to have a new design. Aerodynamic alloy wheels are also likely to be unique. Inside the cabin, features like dual HD screens (for infotainment and driver display), a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a powered driver seat will be available.
Advanced Features: ADAS & Others
The Clavis EV will feature LEVEL 2 ADAS technology, which includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring. Additionally, there is a 360-degree camera view, front and rear parking sensors, and a recline & slide function for the second-row seats.
Battery & Range Details
This new EV model, namely the Clavis EV is likely to share the battery system of the Creta EV. It is expected to be available in two variants: 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The smaller battery variant could offer 135hp of power and a range of 390km, while the larger battery variant could offer 171hp of power and a range of around 473km.
