MG M9 Electric Luxury MPV Launched in India Starting at Rs 69.90 Lakh
JSW MG Motor India launches the MG M9 electric luxury MPV with 548 km range and premium features.
JSW MG Motor India has introduced the MG M9 electric luxury MPV in India. The car begins at a launch price of Rs 69.90 lakh. The M9 will feature enhanced comfort and refinement. The M9 will be entering India's premium corner of the expanding electric vehicle market. Buyers will begin receiving deliveries of their M9s from 10th August 2025.
Power and Performance
The MG M9 features a solid 90-kWh NMC battery. It features two electric motors. They deliver 245 PS power and 350 Nm torque. MG states that the M9 offers a range of 548 kilometers on full charge in normal test cycles. To make charging easy, MG offers an 11 kW wall box charger for home installation and a 3.3 kW portable charger with the car.
Safety and Assurance
MG M9's foremost concern is safety. It is rated five stars by ANCAP and Euro NCAP crash test. That means that it is well constructed with its safety features. The high-voltage battery has a lifetime warranty from the first owner. The car itself is warranted for 3 years or for unlimited kilometers. This indicates MG's faith in the product.
Design and Features
The MG M9 is unique in design. It is available in three colors: Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black, and Concrete Grey. It features a sleek and contemporary front face with striking front grille, twin LED headlights, and daytime running lights integrated into it. On the rear, a waterfall-like LED tail light design makes it sporty. The car features trendy 19-inch ContiSeal™ tyres, which offer additional convenience. Heated side mirrors enable drivers to drive through unpredictable weather conditions.
Inside, there is passenger luxury and comfort as priorities for the MG M9. Presdinatial Seats for rear seat passengers are fully adjustable. They have 16-way control, ventilation, heat, and eight massage settings. They are commanded by a touchscreen found in the armrest. The M9 also boasts a dual sunroof and ambient lighting with 64 colors. This means that the passengers can set the perfect mood. Great audio comes in the form of a 13-speaker sound system with subwoofer and amplifier.
The MG M9 measures 5,270 mm in length. It is therefore one of the longest MPVs that can be bought in India. It has a wheelbase of 3,200 mm, width of 2,000 mm, and height of 1,840 mm. MG M9 rivals the same market as vehicles like Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival.
Technology and Market Position
The M9 comes with seven airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), electronic stability control, and four-wheel disc brakes. It also features a 360-degree camera system and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems). They enhance safety and ease of driving. The MG M9 can be pre-booked by customers at MG Select Experience Centres or directly online. They must pay at least Rs 1 lakh. MG is soon going to introduce the Cyberster electric roadster into its MG Select portfolio. This will add more punch to its India premium model lineup.
