2026 Triumph Scrambler 400X Unveils New Baja Orange Color

Triumph Scrambler 400X gets a vibrant new Baja Orange paint scheme. Learn about its powerful engine and advanced features

Triumph has officially shown off the 2026 Scrambler 400X to the world, and with the fresh new colour option. This striking new shade is called Baja Orange. It features a vibrant orange fuel tank with a sleek silver stripe running right down the middle, where the classic ‘Triumph’ logo sits proudly. While most of the bike’s other parts are finished in black, the golden USD forks and shiny silver front fender add a touch of sparkle to its overall look. Motorcycle enthusiasts in India can expect to see this new colour option arrive in the country very soon.

Underneath its new paint, the Scrambler 400X remains mechanically the same. It continues to be powered by a 398cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine is liquid-cooled and delivers a strong 39.5 horsepower at 8,000 revolutions per minute (rpm). It also produces a peak torque of 37.5 Newton-meters (Nm) at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox, and an assist and slipper clutch comes standard, making gear changes easier and preventing wheel hop during aggressive downshifts. This engine is well-known for its lively performance and excellent tractability, meaning it pulls well from low speeds. It also has a distinctive, throaty exhaust sound that many riders appreciate.

When it comes to its parts, the Scrambler 400X is built for both comfort and capability. It uses a 43mm upside-down front fork, which provides 150mm of travel, helping to absorb bumps and rough terrain. At the back, there’s a monoshock that can be adjusted for preload, allowing riders to fine-tune the suspension to their liking. The motorcycle rides on a larger 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Both wheels are fitted with dual-purpose, block-pattern tires, which offer good grip on various surfaces, from paved roads to light off-road trails.

In terms of features, the Scrambler 400X is well-equipped. It includes a ride-by-wire throttle system, which provides precise control over acceleration. It also has a switchable traction control system, which helps prevent the rear wheel from slipping, especially on loose surfaces. For braking, it comes with switchable dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), enhancing safety by preventing wheel lock-up during hard braking. The bike features full LED lighting for better visibility and a semi-digital instrument cluster that provides essential riding information. Additionally, a Type-C charging port is included as standard, allowing riders to charge their devices on the go.

In the market, the Triumph Scrambler 400X competes with other motorcycles that share a similar body style, purpose, and engine size. Its closest rivals include the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the Yezdi Scrambler. These bikes offer alternatives for riders looking for a versatile and stylish scrambler-style motorcycle.
