MG ZS EV Price Slashed by ₹4.44 Lakh – New Prices Start at ₹16.75 Lakh

MG cuts ZS EV prices to celebrate 6 years in India. Premium electric SUV now starts at just ₹16.75 lakh!

MG ZS EV prices cut by up to Rs. 4.44 lakh in India. Top Essence model now at Rs. 20.49 lakh. Find out what this means for electric car buyers.

MG just made their electric SUV a whole lot cheaper! The company has slashed prices of the ZS EV by up to Rs. 4.44 lakh. That's a massive drop that could change how many people look at buying an electric car in India.

This big price cut comes as MG celebrates six years in India. They first came here with the Hector SUV and later brought in the ZS EV. Now, they're making their electric SUV much more affordable for everyone.

How Much Cheaper Is It Now?

Let me break down the new prices for you:

The top-end Essence model of the ZS EV now costs Rs. 20.49 lakh. Earlier, you had to pay Rs. 24.93 lakh for it. That's a huge Rs. 4.44 lakh less!

The Exclusive Plus variant has also become much cheaper. It now costs Rs. 19.49 lakh, down from Rs. 23.64 lakh before. That's a saving of Rs. 4.15 lakh.

Even the lower variants have gotten price cuts, though not as big. The Excite Pro now costs Rs. 18.49 lakh (Rs. 48,000 less than before), while the base Executive variant starts at Rs. 16.75 lakh (Rs. 13,000 cheaper).

The biggest cuts are on the higher variants, which now cost almost the same as the lower ones. This means you can get a lot more features without paying much extra.

What Does The ZS EV Offer?

Despite the lower price, you still get all the good stuff. The ZS EV comes with a 50.3 kWh battery that gives you a driving range of 461 kilometers on a full charge. That's enough for most city driving for a whole week!

The car has more than 75 connected features, which means you can do things like check your car's status or turn on the AC using your phone. It also has Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which helps make driving safer and easier.

Other cool features include a digital key (use your phone instead of a physical key), electronic parking brake, and turn indicators built into the daytime running lights. The car also has disc brakes on all four wheels, which means better stopping power.

What This Means For EV Buyers

This price cut is a big deal for anyone thinking about buying an electric car. The ZS EV is now much closer in price to the Tata Nexon EV, which starts around Rs. 15.36 lakh and goes up to Rs. 20.71 lakh.

Before this price cut, the ZS EV was competing with more expensive options like the Mahindra XEV 9e (Rs. 21.9 lakh) and BYD Atto 3 (Rs. 24.99 lakh). Now, it offers better value than both of these cars.

I think MG is doing this to grab more market share before other car makers launch new electric models. Hyundai is bringing the Creta Electric soon, and Maruti is working on their first electric SUV too.

For buyers, this is great news. You're getting a bigger car with more features and better range at a price that's much closer to smaller electric SUVs. If you've been thinking about going electric, the ZS EV just became a much better deal.

What's Next For MG?

MG seems to be doing well in India. Their sales went up by 40% in May 2025 compared to last year, with 6,304 cars sold. A big reason for this growth is their new Windsor Pro model, which has quickly become their best-selling car.

The company is also planning to bring more exciting cars to India soon. These include the Cyberster electric sports car and the M9 electric MPV. They're also working on a luxury SUV called the Majestor, which will be fancier than their current Gloster SUV.

With these price cuts and new models coming soon, MG is clearly serious about growing in the Indian market, especially in the electric vehicle segment.

If you've been waiting for electric cars to become more affordable, now might be a good time to check out the ZS EV. With the new lower prices, it offers much better value than before.
