India’s EV market heats up with 5 new e-scooters set to launch by 2026, including budget and premium models.
The electric scooter market in India will see at least five new models in the next seven to nine months. Several well-known two-wheeler companies are getting ready to launch their new electric scooters. The electric two-wheeler market has grown a lot in the past year. Because of this, more big companies are now entering this area. This article will talk about five new electric scooters expected to launch in India by early next year.
1. Suzuki e-Access: A Japanese Entry
A Japanese company showed its first electric scooter for India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. This company started making the Suzuki e-Access in May 2025 at its factory in Gurgaon, Haryana. This scooter will have full LED lights, two-tone colors, a front disc brake with CBS, a USB port for phone charging, a keyless system, and a side stand safety feature. It will also have a 4.2-inch screen with Bluetooth, navigation, and weather alerts. It will use a 3 kWh battery that gives a range of 95 km on one charge and can be fast charged.
2. Hero Vida VX2: A Budget-Friendly Option
Another company will launch its Vida VX2 electric scooter on July 1, 2025. This model is expected to be affordable and serve as an entry-level option. It will come with basic features in two versions: Go and Plus. While official details on the battery are not out, reports suggest it will have 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh battery options. These are expected to provide at least 100 km of range on a full charge. This scooter will also be available with a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) plan, which could lower its overall cost.
3. TVS Orbiter: An Affordable Scooter Below iQube

It might be named TVS Orbiter and could be priced under Rs 1 lakh. This scooter might use the 2.2 kWh battery pack from the iQube’s base model and the same Bosch-sourced electric motor. The scooter could offer a range of 80 km on a full charge. More details about its technical specifications, features, and design are expected in the coming months.
4. Ather EL e-scooter: A New Platform and Affordable Option
Another energy company will show a new electric scooter platform, called EL, in August 2025. Some concept models based on this platform will also be revealed at the company’s yearly Community Day.
