Upcoming Small Hyundai Cars in India
Hyundai is getting ready to launch many new models in India. The company has confirmed that it plans to bring 26 new models, which include brand-new cars, updated versions, and 6 electric vehicles (EVs). Being the second-largest carmaker in the country, Hyundai also wants to strengthen its range of small cars. Let’s take a look at the upcoming models:
1, 2 & 3. Hyundai Small EV, i10 EV, and Venue EV
Hyundai is working on a new small electric SUV, which is expected to launch sometime next year. It will be a budget-friendly model. The design is likely inspired by the international model called "Inster EV", which has a compact size and SUV-like look. This new EV will compete with cars like the Tata Punch EV.
Hyundai has plans to launch five all-new EVs in India by 2030, and this small EV will play a key role. Also, electric versions of the Grand i10 Nios and the Venue are currently under development.
4. Next-Generation Hyundai Venue
Hyundai is preparing to launch the next-generation Venue by the end of 2025. Spy photos show that it will have a new exterior design inspired by the Creta. The inside of the car will also get updates, with better materials and new features.
The same engine options are expected to continue:
- 1.2L petrol
- 1.0L turbo petrol
- 1.5L diesel
This new model is expected to be made at Hyundai’s new factory in Talegaon.
5. Hyundai Bayon SUV
There are rumors that Hyundai might bring the Bayon SUV, which is sold in other countries, to India. This future compact SUV could sit between the Venue and the Creta in Hyundai’s lineup. It might share some parts and features with the next-generation Venue.
Though not yet confirmed, this SUV could offer more cabin space and several useful features. If launched, it may compete directly with the upcoming Kia Syros EV in 2026. The Bayon is expected to be based on the same platform as the i20.
