Redmi K90 Ultra May Launch Soon With 8,000mAh Battery And Snapdragon 8 Elite
Redmi K90 Ultra could launch soon with an 8,000mAh battery, 165Hz display and flagship performance.
Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new smartphone called the Redmi K90 Ultra in China. The company has already started accepting reservations for the device, suggesting that the official launch is not far away. While Xiaomi has not confirmed the full specifications yet, several leaks have revealed what buyers can expect.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to focus on two key areas — gaming performance and battery life. If the leaked information turns out to be accurate, it could become one of the most powerful Redmi smartphones launched this year.
Massive Battery Could Be The Biggest Highlight
One of the most talked-about features of the Redmi K90 Ultra is its battery. Reports suggest the phone could come with an 8,000mAh battery or even larger. This would be a noticeable upgrade over the Redmi K80 Ultra, which features a 7,410mAh battery.
A recent certification listing has also hinted at 100W fast charging support. This means users could get both long battery life and quick charging speeds.
Built For Gaming
The Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to target mobile gamers. Leaks indicate that it could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is expected to deliver flagship-level performance.
To help manage heat during long gaming sessions, Xiaomi may equip the phone with an advanced cooling system. Some reports even suggest the presence of an active cooling fan inside the device.
The smartphone is also expected to offer an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and could run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
Smooth Display Expected
The upcoming smartphone may feature a large 6.89-inch LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. A refresh rate of up to 165Hz is also expected, which could make gaming and scrolling feel much smoother.
Other expected features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and a premium metal frame.
What About The Cameras?
Camera details remain limited for now. However, the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to continue with a dual rear camera setup.
The phone could feature a 50-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, Xiaomi may offer a 20-megapixel front camera.
Expected Price And Launch Timeline
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi K90 Ultra will launch in China later this month, although the exact date is yet to be announced.
The smartphone is expected to carry a price tag of around CNY 3,000, which roughly converts to Rs 41,000. This would place it above the Redmi K80 Ultra while still keeping it within the premium mid-range segment.
With a large battery, flagship processor, high-refresh-rate display and gaming-focused features, the Redmi K90 Ultra is shaping up to be one of Xiaomi's most interesting launches of the year.
