OnePlus 15T Leak Reveals Magnetic Charging and Cooling Upgrade

OnePlus 15T Leak Reveals Magnetic Charging and Cooling Upgrade

OnePlus 15T May Challenge Galaxy S26 Ultra with Magnetic Charging and Cooling System

OnePlus is preparing to launch a new compact flagship smartphone called the OnePlus 15T. Recent leaks suggest the phone could introduce features that are rarely seen on Android devices, including magnetic wireless charging and a magnetic cooling accessory.

The upcoming device is expected to focus on users who want flagship performance in a smaller and easier-to-hold phone without compromising on battery life or speed.

Magnetic Charging Could Be a Big Advantage

One of the biggest highlights mentioned in leaks is support for magnetic wireless charging. Reports from trusted tipster Digital Chat Station indicate that the OnePlus 15T may support Qi2 magnetic technology which works similarly to Apple’s MagSafe system.

This means users may be able to attach magnetic chargers, wallets, stands and accessories directly to the phone without alignment issues. Many Android phones still rely on standard wireless charging without magnets.

Current rumours suggest that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra may not include built-in magnetic support. If OnePlus adds Qi2 magnets officially, it could offer better accessory compatibility for Android users.

Magnetic Cooling Fan for Heavy Use

OnePlus is also said to be developing a slim magnetic cooling accessory designed especially for gaming and long usage sessions.

The cooling fan is expected to be around 1cm thick and attaches directly to the back of the phone using magnets. When smartphones heat up during gaming or video recording performance can slow down which is known as thermal throttling.

The external magnetic cooler helps control temperature so the phone can maintain stable performance. Since it attaches magnetically users can remove it easily when not required.

Flagship Performance in a Compact Size

Despite being called a compact flagship the OnePlus 15T is expected to offer high-end hardware similar to larger premium phones.

Expected specifications include:

  • Display: 6.32-inch screen designed for comfortable one-hand use

  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset

  • Battery: Rumoured capacity between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh

  • Charging: Up to 100W wired fast charging support

A battery of this size inside a smaller phone would be unusual in the flagship segment where compact models normally sacrifice battery capacity.

OnePlus 15T vs Galaxy S26 Ultra Expected Comparison

Feature OnePlus 15T (Leaked) Galaxy S26 Ultra (Expected)
Screen Size 6.32-inch compact Around 6.8-inch large
Magnetic Charging Yes Qi2 support Standard wireless charging
Battery 7,000–8,000mAh Around 5,000mAh
Wired Charging 100W 45W
Cooling Magnetic external fan Internal cooling system

Features like magnetic charging and attachable cooling also show a shift toward practical everyday usability instead of only raw specifications.

If the leaked details turn out to be accurate the OnePlus 15T could become one of the few compact Android phones offering flagship power large battery capacity and advanced accessory support together.

OnePlus is expected to officially introduce the device around March 2026, although the company has not confirmed launch details yet.
