When will bookings open?

According to a report in The Times of India, VinFast will open bookings for the VF 7 and VF 6 models by the end of this month. Sales of the VF 7 will start first, followed by deliveries of the VF 6. The first shipments are expected to arrive by the end of this quarter or early next quarter.

Assembly plant also coming to India

VinFast is planning to set up an assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The company will import the VF 6 and VF 7 models as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits and assemble them at the plant.

The plant will initially have a production capacity of 50,000 cars per year. It can be expanded to 1.5 lakh units if required.

What are the prices?

The VinFast models are expected to be a bit more expensive than the cars that are completely manufactured locally. But considering the features, range, and design all these factors, there is a good chance that they will be in good demand.

Conclusion:

It is official that VinFast electric cars are coming to the Indian market. Whether the company can make a good mark with models like the VF 6 and VF 7 will be known soon.
