2025 Mahindra Scorpio N Gets Fresh Trims: Introducing Z8 T and ADAS-Packed Z8 L

2025 Mahindra Scorpio N lineup expands with Z8 T and ADAS-loaded Z8 L trims. More tech, comfort, and drivetrain choices coming soon

Mahindra & Mahindra will soon share prices for its updated Scorpio-N lineup. Two key additions are coming: a new Z8 T model and an improved Z8 L version. The Z8 L will now include advanced driver assistance systems, known as Level 2 ADAS.

The new Z8 T model fits between the current Z8 and Z8 L trims. It will offer useful features like front seats that can be heated or cooled. The driver's seat will also adjust in six ways using power. Other notable additions include an electronic parking brake with automatic hold, useful for automatic models. A front camera and front parking sensors will also be part of this trim. Inside, the cabin will feel more premium with a 12-speaker Sony sound system. It will also have a frameless rearview mirror that dims itself. For those in the back, a fast 65W Type-C charger will be available. From the outside, larger 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels will help set the Z8 T apart.

This new Z8 T also carries over all features from the Z8. These include an electronic brake lock for the differential and dual-zone air conditioning. Mechanically, the Z8 T will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. Buyers can choose between manual and automatic gearboxes. The Z8 L model, recently shown, now makes a significant leap. It adds a Level 2 ADAS system with 12 different functions.

Key parts of this ADAS system include Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, which works for both vehicles and people. It also has Adaptive Cruise Control that can stop and go with traffic. Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Driver Drowsiness Detection are also included. This makes the Scorpio-N one of the few large SUVs in India, built on a strong frame, to have such advanced safety features.

Beyond these new features, Mahindra has also changed how the Scorpio-N’s engine and drive systems are available across all models. Leaked images show the Z8 T will come with a diesel engine and four-wheel drive, in both manual and automatic forms. This gives it the widest range of mechanical choices. Meanwhile, the Z8 L can now be selected with a petrol engine and automatic gearbox. Or, it can have a diesel engine with either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, both with an automatic gearbox.

The Carbon Editions for both the Z8 T and Z8 L will keep all the engine and drive options found in their standard versions. However, the entry-level and mid-level models, like the Z2, Z4, and Z6, will have fewer choices. They will not offer four-wheel drive or an automatic gearbox in the lowest versions. These latest updates aim to keep the Scorpio-N competitive. They also ensure it stays technologically current with other SUVs in its class. This will help it remain a strong option for buyers seeking a modern and capable vehicle.
